Stavolta tocca Gwen, povera ragazza proprio quando aveva finalmente riacquistato il controllo sul proprio potere elettrico, gli scoppia in mezzo agli occhi un’apocalisse che gli fa perdere il controllo sulla sua elettricità, il tutto condito con l’aver fulminato e carbonizzato la sua ultima fiamma.

La storia dei Civilians

Meccanismo ormai rodato su molti fumetti, ogni volta che avviene un grande evento nel mondo narrativo, si presenta l’occasione per mostrare il punto di vista della gente comune, i civili.
Si concentra in particolare su un ragazzo che ogni giorno con un cartello davanti ad un cinema afferma che la fine del mondo è vicina, fino a quando non lo è davvero con tutte le conseguenze annesse.

Prosegue dal numero precedente la struttura a mini storie stavolta tocca a Wesley che vive con Fred il proprio sogno d’amore in un paradiso fatto apposta per loro.
In realtà è tutta un’illusione creata dai soci anziani per avvicinare lo spettro di Wesley dopo la morte e fargli rispettare il contratto firmato con la Wolfram&Hart di tornare a Los Angeles come spirito e essere vicino ad Angel per tenere d’occhio il vampiro con l’anima fino a quando non avranno bisogno di lui.
